Five Ways to Increase Facebook Party Attendance

five-ways

One of the best feelings is when we secure a booking or an appointment with a host or lead.

Because we spend a lot of time marketing on Facebook, reaching out to customers and looking for new leads, when we book a party, we’re excited and ready to celebrate.

But many of us get caught up in the excitement of getting a booking on our calendar and miss an important step that is vital to the success of your party:

Marketing the party and working with the host to increase attendance.

Convincing a customer to host a party for you is the first step towards having a successful and profitable party. It’s imperative that you work closely with your host to ensure that her friends are excited to attend.

Lindsay Tompkins, my Direct Selling Now Plus trainer, has put together five easy ways to increase your Facebook Party attendance so you can achieve your sales goals, every single month.

  1. Teach, don’t show.

Facebook parties have become a regular sales strategy in direct sales and our customers are now used to attending. And because Facebook parties are easy to host and run, our customers are being invited to more Facebook Parties than ever before. So how do you make yours different and more appealing? It’s important that when running your Facebook Parties, you position them as classes, workshops, lessons and so on. You will increase attendance and participation if your guests know that they will be receiving valuable information from you and not just a sales pitch.

    Here are some examples:

Food/Cooking Tools: Teach a class on how to prepare a certain dish/meal; how to cook a Thanksgiving dinner; how to make fast and yummy lunches for your kids; 5 Meals In Under 15 Minutes and so on.

Make-Up/Skincare/Spa Products: Teach a class on how to achieve a certain make-up look; The five skincare steps you cannot skip before bed; The 6 products every bath aficionado needs and so on.

Jewelry/Accessories/Clothing: Teach a class on how to do a capsule closet (Google this, it’s awesome I swear!); how to update your fall wardrobe; the 3 pieces every good wardrobe needs and so on.

Cleaning Products: Teach a class on the only 3 cleaning products you’ll need to get your kitchen clean; teach a class on a cleaning schedule like how to structure your week (i.e. Tuesdays do bathrooms, Wednesdays do kitchen, once a week clean the baseboards, once a month clean out the pantry, and so on) and then within that schedule, offer the cleaning products they need to get every step done. You can break this out into a party series as well by day, then weekly, then monthly and then yearly. Breaking this out would be great parties for your VIP Groups!

  2. Be specific in your Facebook Party Title.

On the day of your event, Facebook will send your guests a notification reminding them when the event is starting. So you want to make sure that your event/party titles are clear and to the point. Calling it Fiona's Fabulous Fall Ball Extravaganza is confusing and doesn’t offer what the value is. (Plus everyone on your list is being added to crazy groups/events like this!). So instead, be specific and make your title enticing!

  3. Don’t rely on Facebook Event Invites.

Even though Facebook will remind your guests with a notification, don’t rely on it to keep your guests informed! Be sure to coach your host on how to reach out to her guests, what to say and how to get them to RSVP, show up and of course…BUY!

  4. Involve your Guests.

The best way to increase attendance is to involve your guests by finding out what they want to learn more. By starting a conversation about what they are looking for, they are more likely to show up to find out your solution.ask

  5. Run your parties for one hour in the evening.

Stop running your parties for 5-10 days or for multiple hours. Your guests' time is valuable and they are more likely to show up and participate if they don’t have to book off an entire night. Also be sure to host your Facebook Parties in the evening, around 8 or 9pm. When people get home from work they are busy with kids, dinner and after school activities. Hosting the party later at night once their kids have gone to bed makes it easier for people to show up and engage.
