Hello June!

School is out or just about to end for many of you, so that means that summer is almost upon us. Even though many of us are ready to put ourselves into vacation mode and slow down, it’s important that now more than ever, we are engaged with our teams.

A great idea is to plan a summer kick-off or BBQ with your team members. It’s a great way to connect and share fun ideas for the summer like theme parties, shows-on-the-go, summer vendor events and more. June is your time to be the teacher!

If you have a good-sized team, be sure to create a team Facebook group. In this group, you will be able to welcome new members, show recognition, give them tasks and challenges and train. This is especially important in a slow month because your team needs extra encouragement and accountability to get going.

If you aren’t a leader yet, don’t worry! Even though you may not be teaching and working with a large group of people, be sure to share tips and tricks that have worked for you in your leader’s group that you are a part of. Remember, everyone is an expert at something, and you have something valuable to share!

Another part of being a teacher is being a mentor. I have been able to mentor many younger people throughout my career, and it is truly the most rewarding experience. The summer is a great time to mentor a student because they are more available. Considering hiring a high school student to help you with your business this summer! (Fun Fact: That’s how I actually got my start in direct sales!)

Things to Think About for July

Whether you’re vacationing next month or spending some much-needed time in Puerto Backyardo, there are lots of opportunities in July to see people. With the 4th of July, Canada Day, family reunions and BBQs, people will be getting together more than ever. Be sure to have a mini kit with you for your show-on-the-go so you never miss an opportunity to share your product. Another fun idea is to host a Christmas in July event!

XOXO,

Belinda
