Do You Have a Marketing Strategy?

Have you ever found yourself at an event – whether it be a home party, trade show, networking event or even just the coffee shop – and you run into a potential lead for your business?

You get to talking and they say they want to connect with you online.

All of a sudden, you feel a rush of anxiety, you start to sweat and you stare at them in silence as you decide your next move.

You’re wondering…

  • Should I add them to my personal page? Is that weird?
  • Should I send them to my business page? Even though NO ONE is seeing the content that I post and I actually keep forgetting to update it?
  • Should I invite them to join my group? Even though we literally just met?
  • Do I ask them to join all of them?
  • Should I run away right now? 😂

Figuring out where to send your leads to can be a confusing and stressful situation, especially if you are caught without a strong marketing plan.

This is where my Facebook Core Four Funnel comes in.

The Facebook Core Four Funnel is a simple system that shows you where you should introduce a lead to your social media marketing. When you follow a flow or a system, it takes the guess work out of where should my lead go next?

It's important to warm your leads up because people do business with people they know, like and trust – and you can only get to that point by getting engaged with your leads online and moving them through a proven-system.

The Facebook Core Four Funnel is comprised of three parts…

Just kidding – it's made up of four. Hence the name. Okay, I'll move on haha…

  • Your Personal Facebook Page
  • Your Business Facebook Page
  • Your VIP Facebook Group
  • Facebook Events for Online Parties

These are the four key areas of Facebook that will help you build your business, sales and team. And when you use them as a part of ONE strategy (and not four), then not only is your social marketing easier to manage, you have a clear customer journey laid out for your leads.

So, when you meet a new lead out and about, be sure to get them to add you to your personal page. Now, I know what you're thinking – but Lindsay – my personal page is a place for my political views and my kids.

This is probably the biggest kickback I get when I train this strategy – that the personal page is only, well, for personal use.

But I want you to let this sink in for a moment…

Even if you do the business part-time or full-time, you are still 100% of the time in business.

That means, you always need to be ready for your next lead. Your personal page should still absolutely be used for personal reasons, because the goal of your personal page is so that people can get to know you and like you. Your goal here is to build friendships, before you build customers.

On your personal page, you will be able to market both your Business Page and your VIP Group. That way, once people come to know, like and trust you, they will naturally move down the funnel and check out exactly what you do.

It's vital that you market your Business Page, and even more so, your VIP Group, on your personal page, because people will always spend the most amount of time connected with you on your personal page.

You can market these by doing things like:

  • Going live on Facebook and letting them know about something fun you're doing in your Group
  • Promoting your group or business page in your cover photo
  • Linking to your Business Page under Occupation
  • Promoting your Group in your intro section or on your featured photo
  • And much more!

Then, once you get people into your VIP Group, this is where the magic happens! Your VIP Group is great for building trust, turning warm leads into hot ones and turning interest into sales.

Your VIP Group is also the perfect place to find hosts for your online Facebook Events. This is the last point of the funnel and this is where the sales come in.

The first few steps of the funnel allow your lead to get to know you and find out what you're all about. And because you market your business on your personal page in some key areas, they naturally move down the funnel as they become more curious about what you do.

Once they've explored your business page and decided to join your VIP Group, you now know you have a lead who is ready to do business with you. Welcome new members to your VIP Group and be sure to follow up with them after the first 2 weeks to see how they are enjoying the content and ask how you can assist them. Always be sure to offer them the opportunity to host with you and share your products with their friends. Remember, this isn't spammy or salesy because you have spent the time building a relationship with them online!

So, there you have it!

Your new marketing strategy helps you:

  • Make friends on your personal page
  • Provide relevant content and information on your Business Page
  • Create an engaging community in your VIP Group
  • Generate sales using Facebook events
